WESTWOOD ONE
PROMOTES CONRAD TRAUTMANN TO
SVP OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
New York, NY - December 15, 2005 - Westwood One (NYSE:
WON) announced today that, effective immediately, Conrad Trautmann assumes
the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technology. In
this new role, Trautmann will continue to oversee all day-to-day Engineering
and Operations responsibilities as well as add oversight of all Information
Technology.

continues to advance in the technology and resources needed to digitize
our Network Radio and Metro Network Traffic content, Conrad is the right
person to lead this effort,” said Peter Kosann, Westwood One Co-COO.
“Conrad has proven time and time again the ability to work well
under pressure and in a spirit of partnership with his colleagues. He
also understands how best to leverage technology to move our business
forward.”

our traffic and news services,” said Trautmann. “I'm very
happy to be a part of the company's new initiative to distribute our content
using the latest technology. This includes updating our satellite distribution
platform and making the most out of Internet distribution. We'll be there
to support HD radio, multicasting and our data services clients.”
Conrad Trautmann has
worked at Westwood One for the past five years, first as VP of Radio Network
Engineering and Operations in New York and Washington, then in an expanded
role as SVP overseeing Metro Traffic and Shadow Broadcasting's radio engineering
nationwide. Recently, he assumed responsibility for corporate telecommunications.
Prior to Westwood One, Conrad had 20 years of experience in engineering,
operations and IT in local radio working at stations such as heritage
rocker WBAB in Long Island, NY and news/talk WSYR in Syracuse, NY. He's
certified as a Professional Broadcast Engineer by the Society of Broadcast
Engineers and is serving a second term on the national board of directors.
